Last week was Homecoming week, and there probably is not a soul on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus that does not know that. Every day of the week hosted at least one event for students. Those students, faculty and staff who did attend the plethora of homecoming events may have noticed the presence of the Residence Hall Association.
Have you ever wondered how fast you could run? This past Monday, the University of Missouri-St. Louis had a 40-yard dash competition at Mark Twain Recreation Center for students. The 40-yard dash was free for everyone with no prior registration. Students were notified of the event by MyGateway and flyers.
"What's a concert without a march?," Gary Brandes, director of bands, asks the diverse group of musicians sitting in front of him. Receiving no answer, Brandes lifts his hands and begins to direct a song for the Dec. 3 concert. The diversity of the group is easily recognizable upon sight.
